Nottingham Forest are back in the Premier League, ending a 23-year absence thanks to a dramatic play-off final win at Wembley against Huddersfield Town. Steve Cooper's men said the Nottinghamshire team "reminded the world" how special the club is after beginning the Championship campaign bottom of the league, with just with one point from their opening seven matches.
Forest now join the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United as previous European Cup winners in the top-flight. On the promotion, Cooper said: "It is a magical football club...everybody connected with the football club deserves this today and we're now really looking forward to a positive future."
Still one of the most decorated English clubs in football despite over two decades of misery, Forest have already been linked with sensational new signings to take the sleeping giant into a new era. Entering the promised land for the first time since the nineties, Forest are set to rake in £170 million and rising. In fact, if Cooper's team avoid relegation next term, the figure climbs to £300m.
