What you need to know about mega cruise ship with six waterslides

  • Royal Caribbean's new Icon class cruise ship, Legend of the Seas, is currently undergoing sea trials in Turku, Finland, ahead of its launch.
  • Over 2,000 engineers and specialists are conducting comprehensive technical tests on the ship, which will cover approximately 2,400 nautical miles.
  • Set to launch in July 2026, Legend of the Seas will be the third Icon class ship, with a capacity for 5,610 guests and weighing 250,800 gross tonnes.
  • It will be the first Icon class vessel to launch and sail from the Mediterranean, offering departures from Barcelona and Rome.
  • Exclusive features include the Broadway musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a Royal Railway-themed immersive dining experience, and new dining destinations, before heading to Fort Lauderdale for Caribbean itineraries.
