Arsenal made their return to Premier League action on Saturday, facing off against Tottenham in a huge North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium. Both sides made a good start to the season and with bragging rights, points and title credentials on the line, it was set to be a fiery occasion.
The match was just that as the world watched a game that included four goals, one penalty and a red card in an entertaining affair. It was the Gunners that came out the right side of it though as strikes from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka saw the game end 3-1.
It keeps Mikel Arteta's side top of the Premier League and inflicts a first defeat on their North London rivals, bridging a four point gap on them. "Great performance, a great day," The Spaniard proclaimed after the victory. "It was an incredible atmosphere to play in so I’m so grateful to the people who connect to the team in such a special way."

It's a win that will long live in the memory of Arsenal fans until they meet for the return leg in January of next year. Just one day later though, two Arsenal stars were spotted in enemy territory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Both Matt Turner and Rob Holding were at their rivals' ground as London welcomed the NFL for another match in the English capital. The pair were interviewed by Sky Sports, with Holding firstly saying: "If we lost yesterday then coming here might have been a bit tougher, but yeah it was a great result.
"That obviously was amazing and we're in a really good spot this year and this season, top of the league still so as long as things continue like that I think we've got a good shot." Turner then added: "Great result, my first North London Derby so it was definitely one to remember and it was really special to be a part of."
