Celtic look to have missed out on Gvidas Gineitis with Torino manager Ignazio Abate expecting to keep him.
The Serie A side played a Coppa Italia clash against Monza yesterday and the midfielder started despite fervent transfer speculation, and the recent arrivals of Rolando Mandragora and Daniel Braganca.
Celtic have already signed midfielders Mika Baur and Oliver Sorensen but wanted another after selling Arne Engels to West Ham and Reo Hatate to Burnley.

Gineitis was a top target and they were expected to make a final push to land him after previously having an offer turned down, with Torino looking for £9million.
However, after he played for his club last night, it appears he is expected to stay put.
Asked about the transfer window, Abate said: "It's finally over... It's been a month with borderline situations, even this afternoon.
"The club stepped up a gear towards the end. Starting tomorrow [Wednesday], we know who we are and who will be next."
