What Titans’ players, coaches said on Day 1 of mandatory minicamp

Day 1 of the Tennessee Titans mandatory minicamp is in the books. After a couple of weeks of voluntary organized team activities (OTAs), the remainder of the Titans’ roster made their way to Nashville.

Among those in attendance who weren’t at OTAs were running back Derrick Henry and outside linebacker Harold Landry. Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons was also present after sitting out voluntary OTAs, but did not participate in practice.

Wide receiver and 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks did not participate in practice, as well, which was his second straight absence from an open practice.

Titans’ defensive coordinator Shane Bowen was among those who spoke on Tuesday, indicating that Landry will be expected to continue to perform at a high level.

“Do everything he did last year and more. The expectations are going to be as high as ever for him,” Bowen said.

Here is what else the Titans said on Day 1 of minicamp, which will be the only session of the three-day event open to the media.
