The world’s greatest music festival, Glastonbury, opened yesterday with thousands of lucky ticket holders heading to the Somerset farm armed with tents and expectation.
As many as 2,000 acts will play over the weekend, with every music taste catered for. From legendary musicians such as PJ Harvey, Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Grammy-winning acts such as SZA and Burna Boy, to the coolest pop stars of the moment Charli XCX and Shygirl and top rappers such as Ghetts and Little Simz, as always, this year’s programme is rammed full of incredible artists.
And with so many brilliant acts to see, both fans at the festival, and those watching from home, fans have to get their timing right. So SZA stans, this is what you need to know...
What time is SZA on stage at Glastonbury?
SZA will be performing on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday between 21:30 and 23:15.
Can I still get tickets?
Afraid not, that ship has well and truly sailed.
Can I watch the show on the BBC?
Yes, music fans will be able to watch recaps of the various performances from home, and in some cases whole sets will be livestreamed. For example, for the first time ever, Dua Lipa and Coldplay’s sets will be livestreamed globally via BBC.com.
The BBC has expanded its Glastonbury coverage this year, and there will be 10 channels on BBC iPlayer dedicated to the festival, including Glastonbury Channel Live (which will stream over 90 hours of live performances), Glastonbury Channel II, Pyramid Stage – Signed and Classic Glastonbury Channel. On top of this, extensive highlights of the festival will be covered on BBC Two and BBC Sounds.
So while we don’t know how much of SZA’s set will be available to watch, fans can be assured that they’ll be able to see at least some of the Missouri singer’s Sunday performance.
What will the setlist be?
We’re not sure yet, but given that SZA will be releasing her third studio album, Lana, later this year, we’re hoping she’ll tease a few of her new songs.
