The 2023 January transfer window has almost reached its conclusion.

Everton and Liverpool have had contrasting windows over the last month, with both clubs continuing to be rumoured to be interested in potential new signings. And each has had some of their own players linked with moves away.

For the Blues, they have a new manager at the helm with Sean Dyche. While for the Reds, Jurgen Klopp continues to be asked about the prospect of further deals this month.

Here, we take a look at when the transfer window closes tonight and what deals both Everton and Liverpool could complete on deadline day.

When does the transfer window close in the UK?

The transfer window for Premier League, EFL and Scottish clubs is due to close at 11pm tonight (Tuesday, January 31).

When does the window close around Europe?

Around the rest of Europe, the transfer window closes at different times.

In Germany, the window slams shut at 5pm. In Italy it's 7pm, while in Spain the window closes at 11pm, and in France it’s 11.59pm.

What deals Everton have completed so far and what they could do today

Everton are yet to complete their first signing of the January transfer window.

However, it’s expected that it could be a busy end to the window for the Blues with Dyche looking for reinforcements to his new squad.

In terms of what Everton could do, the club are being linked with a host of potential new additions.

The likes of Kamaldeen Sulemana, Conor Gallagher and Sheraldo Becker are some of the names rumoured to be of interest to the Blues.

What deals Liverpool have completed so far and what they could do today

Liverpool have signed one player during the transfer window so far.

Cody Gakpo arrived from PSV Eindhoven in a deal that could be in excess of £40m with add-ons.

In terms of what the Reds could do before the window closes, Klopp has already said that the club will not be signing anyone else.

When this happens, Klopp usually is being serious. That means it would be a major surprise if Liverpool were to dip into the market for reinforcements before the window closes for another window.
