Brooks Koepka has been a Nike staff player for a while now and despite the brand not making any clubs since 2016, he continues to wear the apparel and shoes from the company. Below we have looked at which specific model he wears on his feet when competing.
What Shoes Does Brooks Koepka Wear?
Koepka was wearing the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour Next% and had been since 2022 when they first got released. However he has recently started wearing the next version of these shoes, the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour NEXT% 2 NRG. Now we do not know a huge amount about these shoes but we believe Brooks was again involved in the design because Nike Golf summoned Koepka along very early in the design process.
Whilst it appears only the standard color has hit us of late, in the green finish Koepka is wearing above, we do know that Nike has plans to release special edition finishes throughout the year too. For example in the previous NEXT% shoe he regularly wore the standard color designs whilst competing and then at Major Championships we saw him wearing special edition versions. For example at The Masters in 2023 he wore a yellow 'Always Fresh' pair pictured below.
At The Open Championship he again had a special edition version on, which celebrated everything Liverpool because the host course was Royal Liverpool. As such the colors and design elements of the 1960's featured heavily, celebrating The Beatles with phrases like 'Live To Play, Play To Live'. Given the success of these shoes, we expect the new design to follow this template.

Now as we haven't received a pair for testing yet, we do not know how these shoes performed but watch this space on that front. What we can discuss are the slight design alterations.
The first NEXT% shoes I tested had two spikes on the forefront and two on the heel but, in the NEXT% 2, there are two more spikes in the forefoot area to make four, and two remain in the heel. This is obviously for grip, stability and traction purposes.
Additionally Nike has made the 2 with a lower profile it seems and made sure comfort remains one of the key elements of the shoe. I tested the first NEXT% shoe and it was one of the most comfortable golf shoes out there so I am hoping for more of the same from the 2. It will feature CMP foam for more consistent comfort and it will have a lightweight feel thanks to the Fly Weave materials. This should also make it 100% waterproof too. I cannot wait to get my hands on a pair!
