PLATEAU DU MONT-CENIS, FRANCE - JUNE 15: Thibault Guernalec of France and Team Arkea - B&B Hotels competes during the 77th Criterium du Dauphine 2025, Stage 8 a 133.3km stage from Val-d'Arc to Plateau du Mont-Cenis 2095m / #UCIWT / on June 15, 2025 in Plateau du Mont-Cenis, France. Thibault Guernalec was hit by a car in training this week, the incident coming only days after Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx–Protime) was struck from behind by a driver who failed to stop.

While Wiebes did not suffer any injuries, the same could not be said for the French rider.
