The 2022 Qatar World Cup kick off this week and the excitement is starting to build among football fans around the world. The opening match of the tournament will see hosts Qatar take on Ecuador on Sunday, November 20.
Gareth Southgate's England will be hoping to keep up their recent trend of reaching the latter stages of international competitions, but this time go one further after they were beaten in the Euro 2020 final by Italy which took place last summer.
The opening group game for the Three Lions will be on Monday, November 21 against Iran before they face the United States of America four days later in a competitive fixture for the first time since the 2010 World Cup. England will complete their group stage matches on Tuesday, November 29 against Wales.

But with the competition taking place overseas, will the time difference between England and Qatar affect those wanting to watch the tournament at home?
Luckily supporters will be able to see Southgate and his players vie for the prestigious Jules Rimet Trophy as Qatar are only three hours ahead of England.
Therefore England's opening World Cup fixture against Iran, that kicks off at 4pm local time, will be on at 1pm in England. and the scheduled kick off times in Qatar for both matches against the USA and Wales is 10pm, meaning it can be watched from 7pm for fans at home.
