If you’ve been grinding Black Ops 7 and Warzone Ranked Play, there’s a new end-of-season event you’ll want to watch out for: the Ranked Series.
This seasonal event shakes up the usual Ranked Play format, and gives you one last shot to prove yourself before the next season begins. Here’s how Ranked Series works in BO7 and Warzone, when it’s happening this Season 2, and the exclusive rewards it offers.

Ranked Series in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, explained
Starting in Season 2, the Ranked Series is a special end-of-season event that kicks off right after your rank is locked in. Once Ranked Play ends, your Skill Rating (SR) is frozen, preserving your final rank. From there, players are automatically placed into competitive ladders based on where they finished the season.
Each ladder has 50 players of the same rank tier, from Gold all the way up to Iridescent. Meanwhile, the Top 250 players are grouped into a single competitive ladder.
The goal here is to win matches, earn Ladder Points, and climb to the No. 1 spot in your ladder. Unlike regular Ranked Play, this is more of a short, high-stakes sprint. Your performance during this final stretch determines your rewards, including emblems, weapon camos, and more.
How to climb the Ranked Series ladder in BO7 and Warzone
BO7 Multiplayer
Climbing in BO7 Multiplayer Ranked Series is straightforward. You’ll earn 31 Ladder Points for winning a match, and lose 21 Ladder Points for a loss.
This means consistency is crucial. If you can string together win streaks, you’ll climb quickly. So I’d suggest teaming up with a reliable squad at your rank and stick together throughout the event.
Warzone
Warzone Ranked Series uses a more complex scoring system similar to World Series of Warzone (WSOW), where both eliminations and survival impact your ladder points. Here’s the breakdown:
- Eliminations: +1 point each
- Deaths: -2 points each

Placement bonuses:
- 1st place: +10 points
- 2nd-3rd: +7 points
- 4th-6th: +5 points
- 7th-9th: +3 points
- 10th-12th: +1 point
- 13th-15th: 0 points

Disconnect penalties:
- 1st offense: -3 points
- 2nd offense: -5 points
- 3rd offense: -10 points
- 4th offense: -15 points
This means survival is just as important as kills. Like in Multiplayer, I’d highly recommend forming a consistent squad, as coordinated teams can secure better placements and stay alive longer. Planning your loadouts and drop zones carefully can make a difference as well.
BO7 and Warzone Season 2 Ranked Series dates
For Season 2, your SR will be frozen on March 25 at 11pm CT / 9pm PT / March 26 at 12am ET, locking in your final rank for the season. The Ranked Series then kicks off on March 26 and runs through March 31.
Once the event concludes, Ranked Play will be taken offline in both Black Ops 7 and Warzone until Season 3 begins.
Ranked Series rewards in BO7 and Warzone Season 2
Rewards are distributed per rank in both BO7 and Warzone Ranked Series. These are the cosmetics you can earn in Season 2:
- #1: 1st Place emblem
- Top 5: Top 5 emblem + animated weapon camo
- Top 10: Top 10 emblem
- Top 25: Top 25 emblem + weapon camo
- Top 50: Ranked Series emblem
All players can also earn rewards through the Challenge Track:

The Ranked Series weapon camos are unique to each mode, and are awarded on top of the standard weapon camos you earn through regular Ranked Play.
