What is Margot Robbie’s net worth and Barbie salary as she’s revealed as highest paid actress this year

We are all living in Margot Robbie’s world – or at least, that’s what Aqua has led us to believe as the actress takes on the iconic role of ‘Barbie girl’.

The Australian actress and her co-star Ryan Gosling, playing Barbie’s boyfriend Ken, have taken an impressive payout from Greta Gerwig’s upcoming fantastic, plastic flick – a massive $12.5 million (£10.5m) each.

Now named the highest-paid female actor in Hollywood, Robbie is only adding to her fortune.

What is Margot Robbie’s net worth?

The 32-year-old star is officially worth $26 million (£21.5 million) – a joint total from film appearances and brand deals with heavyweight names like Chanel.

Robbie has accrued an impressive real estate portfolio of five properties.

Her most recent home purchase was a site in Venice (LA, not Italy) for a whopping £5 million.

A strong work ethic is key to maintaining this level of wealth, too – a skill Robbie has mastered.

After Neighbours, she saved up “enough to get me through three years unemployed”, she said in a Vanity Fair interview in 2014.

What is Margot Robbie’s production company?

The Wolf of Wall Street star started her own production company Lucky Chap Entertainment in 2014.

Friends and co-founders, including her husband Tom Ackerley, describe their business approach as “female-focused”.

Robbie has starred in several titles already, including Birds of Prey, I, Tonya, and the upcoming Barbie picture.

The producer, who also helmed Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman, is looking to steer the limelight from herself when it comes to producing, she told Vogue in 2018.

She said: “I can’t star in every LuckyChap project, but to get started that’s how we got our traction, and so moving forward most projects I won’t be in.

“And the goal would be to eventually have a very established production company with a varied body of work and hopefully critical acclaim and prestige connected to the name but the company would be its own entity, not ‘Margot Robbie’s company’.”
