The creators of ChatGPT have released a new version of their intelligent chatbot that can now respond to images. GPT-4 by OpenAI can now do things like give you a recipe suggestions based of a photo of ingredients that you give it.
The AI bot can also write captions and give descriptions of images and handle much more 'nuanced prompts' like describing why a meme is funny. As part of the new update it can now process up to 25,000 words.

GPT-4 will be available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers who pay $20 per month for the premium service. A report released by OpenAI gives a number of examples of bot intelligently breaking down why complex and layered memes or unusual photos are considered funny.
According to OpenAI, GPT-4 is its 'most advanced system, producing safer and more useful responses'. It has also scored highly in various professional and academic exams, including the Uniform Bar Exam taken by would-be lawyers in the US.
ChatGPT is a conversational AI-powered chatbot designed to answer questions and respond to queries in text form in a way that sounds natural and human. Built by US firm OpenAI, it uses information from the internet to carry out requests and has been trained on back-and-forth conversations so it is capable of understanding follow-up questions, admitting its own mistakes and limitations and rejecting inappropriate requests.
OpenAI say up to six months was spent on updating the safety features for the tool but warned that it may be prone to giving disinformation. The tool has been a huge hit since it's launch back in November 2022 with many people using it to write things such as songs, poems, code and even do their homework.
