Hayden Panettiere may have taken a single oxycodone pill laced with fentanyl on the morning she died, according to law enforcement sources, as investigators reportedly turn their attention to an alleged Los Angeles drug dealer and the origin of the suspected fatal dose.
The 36-year-old Heroes and Nashville actress died on 16 August after she was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina. Authorities have not officially determined her cause of death, and toxicology results remain pending.
