Eddie Howe insists that Newcastle United has not been a difficult sell to transfer targets since he arrived through the door last November.
The former AFC Bournemouth chief has persuaded Sven Botman to pick Newcastle ahead of the bright lights of Europe this summer while both Matt Targett and Nick Pope had options further south. Kieran Trippier swapped Madrid for Tyneside last January while Bruno Guimaraes could have signed for Juventus this summer but opted for the black and whites of Newcastle instead when offered in the winter window.
With just a month to go before the window shuts, Howe is looking at a small pool of players to help bolster his squad. Howe said: "I don’t find that very difficult at all, to be honest.

"The club sells itself to a degree because of its history, because of the supporters, because of the stadium. I think, when you speak to players, everyone’s well aware of what Newcastle represents."
Howe says that the bulk of his transfer discussions with new signings boils down to questions about his own methods. Howe said: "What I have to sell is my way of working, my coaching philosophy, the way I want to play the game, my staff, the squad we have.
"I think they’re the things people, players maybe don’t know enough about, so you’re trying to give them a good representation of that, and trying to convince them this is the best decision for their career at this moment in time, so we can help develop them. That’s where I’ll have to go into detail."
