'What happened to this guy?' - Anthony Martial's disastrous loan spell encapsulates Manchester United career

Manchester United fans have offered their thoughts on Anthony Martial after Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo offered a scathing assessment of his loan spell at Sevilla.

After a promising start to life with the Andalusian side, his injury problems re-emerged as he has been stricken with three muscle problems - the latest against Mallorca last week - meaning he will be absent from this weekend's clash with Athletic Bilbao. Since January, he has a goal and an assist in just 12 appearances.

Martial's move in search of regular first-team minutes has been hampered by problems that have affected his recent career at Old Trafford. The Spanish outlet labelled his time in Seville as "disheartening".

For Julen Lopetegui's side, they're facing a fight on the final day to finish in the top four as they look to book their place in the Champions League ahead of rivals, Real Betis. United supporters on Reddit took the platform to discuss the 26-year-old's stint in La Liga, here's how they reacted.

ElBigTaco: "Does anyone else remember the hype coming out of Monaco? Or the first against Liverpool? Hard to believe it's been 7 years and nearly as many managers. What a shame."

S4creed: "What happened to this guy. Had so much hope."

Amiyak84: "Ok. He may be disappointing. But since when have we started blaming players for injuries. Something was really wrong with our staff. So many players, in fact every player, has regressed."
