Gary Neville has praised Tottenham's resolute display in their 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday evening. Son Heung- min fired Spurs into a shock lead at Anfield before Luis Diaz's deflected strike rescued a point for the title-chasing Reds.
Antonio Conte's side were under immense pressure in the first half but successfully weathered the storm and posed more of a threat after the break. Harry Kane in particular saw more of the ball and used his passing vision to cause problems for the home side, and Son's goal was a result of some clever play from the England captain.
Kane received the ball from Emerson Royal and was able to evade the attentions of Trent Alexander-Arnold and find Ryan Sessegnon in the box; who squared it for Son for an easy finish. It was no more than Spurs deserved for a bold approach in the second half and Neville praised their resolve, and also paid tribute to their deadly attacking duo for unlocking the host's imperious defence.

Speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast, he said: "Tottenham had to withstand a lot of pressure defensively, they did well defensively, but Harry Kane and Son Heung-min – that ground to counter-attack on is the toughest to counter-attack on. I believe there’s less space there than there is [at the Etihad]. There just is.
"I know they’ve done well [at the Etihad] but Anfield is so tight and Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are so quick and so strong that you think to yourself: 'how do Kane and Son do it against them'? But they did. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, I thought they were outstanding.
"They’re a joy anyway, they’ve been outstanding for a number of seasons now, but that’s the toughest away game that you have to play I think, Anfield, and it’s the toughest game to counter-attack in because the space is so little it feels like in the centre of midfield where Kane was picking it up and having to break.
"But Tottenham connected through Kane into those wide players, he held it up enough, he moved away and rolled people just to get the pass away or turned and got that pass away, and he does it absolutely wonderfully. Conte can do that as a coach, he has it in him, that sort of warrior mentality."
Spurs will need Kane and Son at their razor sharp best when they host north London rivals Arsenal on Thursday evening. A win for the Gunners will seal a top four finish, however, the Lilywhites will be a point behind Mikel Arteta's side with just two games remaining if they beat them on home soil.
