Chelsea supporters did not take too long to taunt the Liverpool fans in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.
Just four minutes into the 2022 final, Blues supporters sang the now infamous Steven Gerrard song, with the former Reds captain famously slipping to gift Manchester City the 2013/14 Premier League title.
Despite the now Aston Villa manager having no association with Liverpool right now, Chelsea fans still reminded their opponents' fan base about the much spoken about Premier League moment.
However, Liverpool fans responded quickly to defend their former skipper, by chanting the original song and trying to drown out the other chants.
It was a mixed first-half for Chelsea, who probably had the better opportunities.
Christian Pulisic had a glorious chance saved by Caoimhin Kelleher from close range, with the Blues winger expected to score from not too far out. Mason Mount also had a fantastic opportunity to open the scoring for Chelsea, but he volleyed wide of the post in front of the relieved Liverpool fans.
Mount then had another guilt-edged opportunity minutes into the second-half, after Pulisic's delightful ball, but the England international could only find the inside of the post, letting the Reds off the hook once again.

One of the biggest talking points before the game was whether Romelu Lukaku would start. He didn't and Thomas Tuchel explained why to Sky Sports before the game: "If you look at the history he starts a lot matches but today is about, for us, we think it’s a bit more about running and running behind the line. Kai, Christian and Mason are today, from a tactical point of view, from a characteristic of their style, a better fit and it’s very nice to have Romelu from the bench to influence the game hopefully in a decisive manner."
