Kick-off is edging ever closer as Rangers begin their journey towards Champions League qualification.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men enjoyed an incredible European adventure last season, playing 17 games as they battle their way to the Europe League Final. And despite the heartbreak in Sevilla at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt, the Light Blues will be hoping to use that experience to make this campaign even bigger and better. And what better way to do that than securing their place in the Champions League?
The Ibrox outfit have made their way to Belgium to take on Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the first leg this evening. Should Saint-Gilloise be disposed of, Rangers will line up in the playoff round – and stand just 180 minutes away from the millionaires’ playground. However, Gio van Bronckhorst will have to do it without stars Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and John Souttar in the first leg. Summer signings Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo could be in line to feature with Antonio Colak set to lead the line.
