Alberto Moreno wasted little time to congratulate his former side after Liverpool booked their place in the Champions League final.
The Reds got the better of Villarreal 5-3 over two legs after a thrilling encounter, which saw Unai Emery's side take a surprise two-goal lead heading in to half-time to draw level on aggregate. But the visitors responded in emphatic fashion after the restart, scoring three times in quick succession to book their place in Paris.
Liverpool have now reached a third final in Europe's elite competition under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and have become the first English side to reach the final of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup in the same season.

With their place in the final of the competition confirmed, members of the Reds' first-team took a moment to appreciate their special achievement as they celebrated on the pitch after the full-time whistle.
Despite being knocked out of the competition, Villarreal remained in high spirits and were applauded off the pitch by their supporters.
Although likely to be disappointed with his side's exit from the Champions League, Moreno paid respect to the Reds by congratulating Alisson and Fabinho on the pitch after the full-time whistle. The Spanish left-back was not involved in either leg against Liverpool due to injury, but also made the trip to Anfield and appeared pleased to be back at his one-time home.
Writing on social media after the first leg loss, he tweeted: "Thanks, Anfield. Was very emotional to see you again. Always in my heart."
