Wetherspoon pubs across Nottinghamshire are to cut the price of all food and drink by 7.5 per cent - but it's just for one day. The reduction on Thursday, September 15, is to highlight the benefit of a permanent VAT reduction in the hospitality industry.
Prices at the pubs will be reduced to mark Tax Equality Day. It means a customer spending £10 will be charged £9.25.
Pubs taking part in Nottinghamshire include The Roebuck Inn in St. James's Street, The Joseph Else in South Parade, Lloyds No. 1 Bar and in Carlton Street and The Gooseberry Bush in Peel Street. Also joining in are The Free Man, Carlton Hill, Carlton, Trent Bridge Inn in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, The Samuel Hall in Mansfield Road, Sherwood and The Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren in Derby Road, Stapleford.
