Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Weston McKennie won't play for Juventus on Sunday as the United States international is negotiating a move away from the club.
Leeds are in advanced talks with Juventus over a loan move for McKennie with an option to buy, and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Leeds have reached a verbal agreement with Juventus over McKennie's transfer.
The Whites are reportedly set to pay a €1.5 million loan fee and €35 million if they decide to buy McKennie at the end of the season.
Romano added that negotiations are due to take place later today, and Allegri has revealed to the media that McKennie won't be in action for the Serie A giants against Monza on Sunday afternoon.

"McKennie will not be available tomorrow because he is at the centre of a negotiation. I think the club has already found an agreement with his new team and therefore he won't be there tomorrow," Allegri stated.
"There will be no reinforcements on the market, if McKennie was to leave there will be Cuadrado, De Sciglio, Soulé, who can also play from outside. If necessary, we will be able to change the structure. The important thing is to recover everyone."
Nottingham Forest are among a number of clubs considering the possibility of hijacking Leeds' quest to sign the 24-year-old., according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
McKennie has made 21 appearances for Juventus this season, and a further 96 games since arriving from FC Schalke in 2021. He has notched 13 goals and five assists in the process - winning the Italian Super Cup and Italian Cup.
