West Lothian Pride made its triumphant return last weekend for the first time in three years.
Hundreds gathered in Livingston to express their support for the LGBTQ+ community in West Lothian.
The parade made its way down Almondvale Boulevard before returning to its base at West Lothian College.
Many local groups and institutions attended the event to express their support for the community, like Lothian buses, who provided their ‘pride bus’ for the parade, SPARK, SKY, the Saltire Burlesque Academy, and numerous other local community groups.
Organiser of the pride event, Christine Rarity-Middleton, said:
“West Lothian Pride 2022 exceeded all of our expectations!
“The sun shone brightly on our march and then stayed with us throughout the day as we danced, chilled, ate and connected with friends.
“The energy and sense of community was everywhere!
“Thanks to everyone who made the day happen and we’ll see you all next year!”
