New research has revealed West Lothian is one of the most unhappiest places in Scotland.

Gold payment platform Glint looked into the best and worst places in the UK to purchase a house, and life satisfaction was one of its key metrics.

The organisation used life satisfaction data from the UK Office of National Statistics to measure happiness. It separated its results between Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
