West Ham United manager David Moyes has been handed a double personnel boost ahead of Boxing Day’s Premier League clash away at Arsenal.
The Hammers ’ return to competitive action on Monday in what will be their first competitive match in 38 days due to the break for the 2022 World Cup, with five of the club’s current squad representing their countries.
Of the five, Germany defender Thilo Kehrer was the only one not to get past the group stage, with the remaining quartet all reaching the quarter-finals or further.

The two that were knocked out in the quarter-finals were midfield duo Declan Rice (England) and Lucas Paqueta (Brazil), who have both been pictured at the club’s Rush Green training on Wednesday.
On Twitter, West Ham’s official account posted a photo of Rice with the caption “look who’s back,” as well as four later photos with the caption “the skipper in action.”
There was also a video on Said Benrahma’s Instagram in the changing rooms where defender Angelo Ogbonna was being wheeled about in a blue kit tub, with Emerson and Paqueta both tipping Ogbonna out of it.
It comes as a major boost ahead of the trip to the Emirates Stadium in five days' time, with the hope that both Rice and Paqueta will be involved in the game.
Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola earned a runners-up medal despite not playing a minute at the tournament, while Nayef Aguerd helped Morocco finish fourth, but missed the final three games through injury.
