Reviewing the measures put in place at the Kilpatrick Hills to help tackle anti-social behaviour will be a key focus for councillors elected next week.
Last year new countryside rangers were hired to help tackle a surge in crowds at the popular hill walking site to help cut growing problems of litter, traffic congestion and anti-social behaviour.
The decision was made following concerns about traffic congestion and parking issues in Old Kilpatrick and Hardgate, with hundreds taking to the hills during lockdown.

The ward, which elects four councillors, covers southern parts of the town of Clydebank close to the River Clyde including part of the town centre, namely the areas south of the Forth and Clyde Canal around Chalmers Street and Glasgow Road with the bus station and Clydebank railway station.
Everything north of the canal at that point is within the Clydebank Central ward. Residential neighbourhoods in the ward include Clydeholm, Dalmuir, South Mountblow (Clydemuir), Whitecrook and all parts of the adjoining settlement of Old Kilpatrick.
2017 Results
The 2017 election saw a 44.4% voter turnout with 5018 valid ballot papers and 171 rejected ballots.
The first preference vote received of each of the elected candidates was:

Marie McNair - SNP - 601
Daniel Lennie - Labour - 271
2022 Candidates
Councillor Daniel Lennie, who has served one term so far, is hoping to be re-elected while his ward colleagues councillor Gail Casey and Provost William Hendrie are standing down after three terms in office.
Councillor Marie McNair who also served three terms, first as a Labour councillor, then as an independent and latterly as a member of the SNP, is stepping down after being elected as the MSP for Clydebank and Milngavie in 2021.
