Bath has long been hailed as one of the top tourist destinations in the UK. Filled with beautiful Georgian houses and Roman spas, the location has attracted travellers for centuries.
So it comes as little surprise that the West Country gem has now been crowned 'most beautiful city' by Big7 Travel. Topping their aesthetically pleasing list was the Isle of Skye, but Bath ranked the highest out of all of the UK cities.
The judges said: "A charming Somerset dream of Georgian architecture and Roman history. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the UK, it’s not hard to see why it’s such a popular destination for tourists and Brits alike.

"The ancient Roman city is mainly known for its elaborate ancient baths for which the city was named. Thanks to this, it’s a perfect spa retreat."
Perhaps Bath's most impressive street (and there are lots of them), Royal Crescent is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Standing proudly over a green park, Royal Crescent featured in many of Netflix's Bridgerton's scene-setting shots.
The hit series also filmed on Abbey Square, situated in the heart of Bath, for some of the show's most famous scenes. The city was a favourite of Jane Austen, who set a number of novels in there.
TripAdvisor is filled with tourists raving about the location. Talking about the thermal spas, one person wrote: "Visited with my partner as part of our weekend in Bath. After a visit to The Roman Baths the history and significance of the naturally hot pools had an extra meaning. We were in an early slot, so the facilities weren’t too busy. The whole place was very clean and well maintained."
And tourists also paid homage to Pulteney Bridge. One person wrote: "This is up there with the Sydney harbour bridge, Tower bridge, Humber bridge, golden gate and Pontevechio in terms of world bridges. A MUST"
