KOLKATA: Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday approved the West Bengal Financial Bill and the West Bengal Appropriation Bill following a three-hour discussion with chief secretary H K Dwivedi and finance secretary Manoj Pant, reports Debashis Konar.
Dhankhar called Dwivedi to Raj Bhavan citing the latter’s “personal assurance” that he would ensure constitutional compliance of all the issues the governor had raised.
Dhankar later tweeted about the approval, and mentioned the chief minister’s assurance that pending constitutional compliances would be effected within a week.
