A young golfer from West Belfast has emerged as a rising star of the sport after claiming a double success. Eoin Burrows is a name we will be keeping an eye on in the future.
The 13-year-old is celebrating after clinching two provincial competitions this summer. Eoin, a pupil at St. Mary’s Grammar School in and a member of Belvoir Park Golf Club, took the title at the Connacht Boys U14s Open Championship in Westport, Co. Mayo in June before going on to win the Ulster U14s Boy’s Close at Edenmore earlier this month.
Eoin has also just been named in the 2022 Underage Interprovincial squad. He will represent Ulster in the U14 Boys’ competition at Hilton Templepatrick on July 18-19.

Celebrating his recent successes, Eoin commented: “I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved so far this season. I’ve been working hard with my coach Peter to perfect my game and I’m looking forward to my next challenge at the Interprovincials.”
Eoin's fledgling golf career has seen him working with PGA Pro Peter Martin. The talented teen has also been training at Colin Glen’s innovative TrackMan Driving Range and 9-hole golf course, where Martin is also the Director of Golf.
Speaking on Eoin’s recent achievements, Martin said: “This is a very exciting time for Eoin, and myself and the whole team at Colin Glen are delighted for him. Eoin is a very talented young player and has been training here at Colin Glen for over six years.
"We want to wish Eoin the very best of luck in his upcoming Interprovincial competition. He deserves every success and we can't wait to see what comes next for him.”
