Wesley Fofana says he has fulfilled a dream by signing with Chelsea and the defender wants to continue the club's history of success after arriving from Leicester City in a deal worth around £75million.
After weeks of intense negotiations, Chelsea finally struck a deal with Leicester for the France Under-21 international on Friday evening. It's understood that the Foxes will receive a guaranteed £70m for Fofana, with a large amount of the fee to be paid upfront this summer.
Add-ons will take the transfer to at least £75m and there were suggestions the deal could still eclipse the £80m Leicester received for Harry Maguire from Manchester United. However, that is not believed to be the case and the move isn't a world record for a centre-back.
