The Kentucky-born author and agrarian Wendell Berry, who through poetry, novels, short stories and essays celebrated his home state's farming communities while warning of the excesses of an industrialised society, has died aged 92.
His daughter, Mary Berry, confirmed on Monday that he died at his home in Port Royal, Kentucky.
