Cashmere is probably the most coveted material in the world. The wool coming from the Kashmir goat is heralded for its softness. Which is a minor miracle since regular wool clothing can irritate skin, causing itchiness and redness. Since it's such a sought-after commodity, cashmere usually comes with a high price tag. Usually. We managed to uncover a slew of more affordable cashmere clothing, relatively speaking, of course.
Naturally, the designer creations cost the most. You're not just paying for the fabric, but the name, after all. Christopher Esber's knotted cashmere sweater is definitely worth shelling out $690 for. Same goes for Khaite's patterned knit, Jacquemus' comfy cardigan and Altuzarra's layered turtleneck. Max Mara's cashmere jacket merits spending a little extra, too.
