Weather Update Tomorrow: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across eight states on Monday, August 31, as the southwest monsoon remains active over several parts of India. Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are among the areas facing the highest rainfall risk.
Several other states and Union Territories are also likely to receive heavy rain. The IMD has warned of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across parts of eastern, central, northeastern and northern India.
