The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across several parts of the country from Monday, July 27, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected in multiple states over the coming days.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, several regions in north, central, east, west, north-east and south India are likely to witness intense monsoon activity, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Authorities have advised residents to remain alert in areas vulnerable to flooding, waterlogging and landslides.
