Weather today, September 18: IMD forecasts widespread thunderstorms across north and northeast India

IMD India Andhra Pradesh Chhattisgarh Kerala Odisha Punjab Tamil Nadu

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh spell of rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across large parts of the country between September 17 and 23. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in several states, with gusty winds reaching up to 60 kmph expected in parts of south India during this period.
