
December arabica coffee (KCZ25) on Thursday closed down -5.80 (-1.51%), and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX25) closed down -81 (-1.84%).
Coffee prices gave up an early advance on Thursday and moved sharply lower due to weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL). Long liquidation emerged in coffee futures on Thursday after the real tumbled to a 2.5-week low against the dollar, which encourages export selling from Brazil's coffee producers.
