The heatwaves and drought conditions across parts of Britain this summer have brought a series of challenges for food producers and those working on the land.
According to the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, hot and dry weather has resulted in the earliest UK cereals harvest in at least 20 years.
This is prompting farmers to experiment with new systems to tackle drought, including changing the crops they grow on their farms.
