A couple with young children face being homeless by Christmas after being served a court order from the council. Stephanie Rolfe and Stuart Macdonald have been told that their mobile home must be bulldozed because it doesn't fit in with 'character and appearance' of the area.
To make matters worse, the couple must also foot the £60,000 bill that it costs to demolish their beloved home - - leaving them facing "financial ruin." Stephanie and Stuart said they built the home under caravan legislation.
"We had an honest held belief it was lawful" Stephanie and Stuart told BirminghamLive. With time running out, they are desperate to keep their home.
