The Hu are one of the most unlikely success stories in heavy metal history. Formed in 2016 in Mongolia's capital city of Ulaanbaatar, their unique blend of traditional Mongolian folk music and full-blooded metal has seen them become a smash hit, racking up millions of streams, numerous world tours and slots at some of the world's biggest rock festivals. This summer, they'll support Iron Maiden at the metal legends' biggest ever headline show at Knebworth Park. In 2021, we met the quartet to find out how they became their country's biggest ever rock band.
