When friends Dan Evans and Alex Stubbs went out for a Friday afternoon drink, they promised each other they would be home by 11.30pm. But it was actually two days before they got back to Aberdare, after an impromptu trip to the holiday island of Ibiza.
During their afternoon out in Merthyr, someone suggested that they go to Magaluf in Majorca. The pair, from Aberdare, thought it was a great idea and got a taxi to Cardiff Airport.
"We stopped off at home to collect our passports and phone chargers, and then headed to the airport," says 23-year-old Dan. "When we got there though the Majorca flight was fully-booked, but there was a flight to Ibiza, so we booked ourselves on to that one. "
