We want to know when you will turn the heating on

With temperatures decreasing rapidly this week, many people are deciding if they should push through or turn on their central heating.

On Monday night temperatures dropped to 8C for the first time since the start of this year. It came on the same night the Met Office said they expected temperatures may drop to -2C in some rural spots.

Alexander Burkill, a senior meteorologist at the Met Office said: "Temperatures will be a little below average for the time of year with highs for most in the mid-teens celsius, although some chillier spots in the north may stay in single figures. Thereafter there will be a gradual rise in temperatures but it will still feel more like autumn than of late due to brisk winds and some showers too."
