Manchester United fans have been left confused after a player called Betinho was added to their squad list on the Premier League's official website.
The Portuguese striker does not have a photo, however, it is claimed he is 29 years old, 5ft 6in and will be wearing the number 11 shirt at Old Trafford. What is perhaps even stranger is that this Portuguese striker does actually exist.
Betinho currently plays for S.C. Espinho in Portugal with his contract set to expire at the end of the campaign. He does have English football experience having played 13 minutes for Brentford in the Championship back in 2014.

While the Reds are on the lookout for a striker to fill the gap which Cristiano Ronaldo has left, this is not the man they would have had in mind. During his career, he has only scored 27 goals in all competitions, his most prolific spell coming for Sporting Lisbon's B team where he managed 20 goals in 66 appearances.
Supporters are unsurprisingly puzzled by this and have shared their reactions on Twitter. Here is what some of them have had to say.
United suffered a blow on Boxing Day after PSV Eindhoven announced that they had come to an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Cody Gakpo. The Dutch international starred at this winter's World Cup and had been on the radar of the Reds in the summer.
Erik ten Hag had discussions with the player's agent about a potential move in August. However, it was deemed that the interest had come too late in the window and United would go on to pursue Antony from Ajax.
