As one of European football's hottest young prospects, RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko has been linked with a variety of clubs, with Chelsea the latest to show interest.
Despite being a target of Manchester United, the Blues might have flown under the radar as a potential buyer after United suddenly faced complications with the deal. Chelsea's difficult transfer window looks to have improved recently, with younger Gaga Slonina joining Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly at the Blues, whilst Aston Villa prodigy Carney Chukwuemeka looks set to sign. Now, the Blues could be ready to chase another sought-after youngster in Sesko if United continue to ponder on the move.
It's believed that new owner Todd Boehly personally travelled to see Sesko's representatives for a meeting about acquiring the 19-year-old's talents recently. The striker scored the only goal in a pre-season victory over Liverpool, with the tall, powerful and speedy striker drawing links to ex-Salzburg forward Erling Haaland.
