CHENNAI: Inaction of government officials against encroachments had led to water scarcity in Tamil Nadu, said the Madras high court.
“Tamil Nadu is blessed with numerous water bodies, but some places are getting water only once in six days,” the first bench of Chief Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari and Justice N Mala said on Wednesday, wondering why the officials are taking salaries without acting against encroachments.
