The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Travon Walker with the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft because of his rare athleticism. While they hoped that would translate into a bevy of sacks, Walker showed off his skills on an impressive interception in Week 1.
Shortly after the Jaguars took the lead with a 45-yard field goal, Walker picked off the Washington Commanders’ Carson Wentz on a screen pass on the first play of the next drive.

Walker got the first sack of his career earlier in the game when he torched Commanders right tackle Sam Cosmi to bring down Wentz.
On the play immediately following Walker’s interception, Jaguars running back James Robinson ran through the Washington defense for an 11-yard touchdown that gave the Jaguars a 22-14 lead.
