Offensive lineman Peter Skoronski’s life changed on Thursday night when he got the call from the Tennessee Titans, who notified him he’d be the No. 11 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
Skoronski was with loved ones and was enjoying some pizza and a beer when he got the call, according to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.
“Everyone is so excited, and supportive of me,” Skoronski said during a Zoom call with the media. “I had to run away into a corner to get the phone call. It’s just awesome to be surrounded by so many supportive people.
“I probably only had one beer – I had to stay locked in for the night. But tons of pizza, though – I’ve been eating.”
After he was drafted, the Titans released video both of Skoronski receiving the call, and general manager Ran Carthon making the call. You can check out both of the clips below.
