Watch: Shreyas Iyer pulls off a spectacular reflex catch to dismiss Usman Khawaja

NEW DELHI: An alert Shreyas Iyer pulled off a sensational catch to dismiss Australia opener Usman Khawaja in the final session on Day 2 of the Delhi Test. Showing off his incredibly sharp reflexes, Iyer plucked the catch out of thin air to give India their first breakthrough.

The incident took place in the sixth over of Australia's second innings when Khawaja looked to paddle-sweep Ravindra Jadeja in his first over. The Aussie opener middled the ball to perfection but it looked like he was not exactly aware where Iyer was positioned.

As the ball flew off Khawaja's bat, Iyer, stationed at leg-gully ducked for cover but in the process put both his hands over his right shoulder and the ball somehow stuck to his hands. He then rolled over and landed on his shoulders to complete the acrobatic effort.

Australia ended Day 2 at 61/1, taking a 62-run lead over India.

In reply to Australia's 263 in the first innings, India managed 262 before bundling out in the final session.

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon took an impressive fifer to bowl out India.

India currently lead the 4-Test series 1-0.
