In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Marsh expressed gratitude towards skipper Pat Cummins and coach Andrew McDonald for their support and backing. He acknowledged their belief in him, which played a significant role in his success.

"I'm a bit fat at times and I love a beer, but you see the best in me always. Playing under you has been an absolute dream," Marsh thanked Cummins in his acceptance speech.
