Steph Curry’s shimmy dance has quickly turned into his signature celebration after he laces a clutch 3-pointer through the net. Yet, in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Mavericks, it wasn’t Curry shimmying; it was one of his teammates on the Golden State Warriors.
With the Warriors surging, Klay Thompson connected on a 3-pointer that set the Chase Center crowd into a frenzy. Following his triple to give Golden State a 13-point lead in the second quarter, Thompson broke out Curry’s shimmy. Thompson’s shimmy 3-pointer was his fourth triple of the first half against the Mavs.
Thompson finished the first half with 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field with five triples.

After his highlight-reel shimmy, Thompson helped put away the Mavericks, tallying a game-high 32 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field with eight 3-pointers on 16 attempts from deep.
With a 120-110 victory over the Mavs in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals, Thompson and the Warriors punched a return ticket to the NBA finals. The Warriors will now wait for the winner of the Eastern Conference finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.
