Former Houston Cougars receiver Tank Dell was not bashful about his intentions.
Dell sent an Instagram DM to the Houston Texans six days after the Independence Bowl against Louisiana and begged the AFC South franchise to keep him in the Bayou City.
The Texans came through.
When Dell got the call from coach DeMeco Ryans that the Texans were taking him in Round 3 of the 2023 NFL draft, the wideout’s message was clear.
“It’s on, Coach” Dell said. “I promise you it’s on.”
“No doubt,” Ryans said. “No doubt. I know it’s on, man. Get to stay in H-town, baby.”
“Yes, sir, I love it,” said Dell. “Thank y’all, love y’all.”
“For sure, man,” said Ryans. “We’re fired up, happy to have you.”
Dell caught 109 passes for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns through 13 games for the Cougars last season.
